Which sources does Tucson Senior Advisor cite?

Only primary sources: the Arizona Revised Statutes and Administrative Code, the Arizona Department of Health Services and AZ Care Check, AHCCCS, Pima Council on Aging, CMS, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and CareScout's published Arizona Cost of Care figures.

If a number that circulates online cannot be traced back to one of these, the page says the figure is not available instead of repeating it.

Why is there no Tucson price or memory-care median on the site?

CareScout's published Arizona release reports statewide medians, and CareScout does not measure memory care as its own category; no primary source we can cite publishes a Tucson-only assisted living median, so we print the state figures and say plainly that local quotes are needed.

How does Tucson Senior Advisor treat ratings?

The only ratings on the site are CMS's Five-Star ratings for nursing homes, reproduced as CMS publishes them and labelled as CMS's; Arizona rates no assisted living facility, and we never invent a score of our own.

How is 'deficiencies cited' decided for an inspection?

It comes straight from the opening statement ADHS writes on each inspection in AZ Care Check, which says either that no deficiencies were found or that deficiencies were found; when the statement says neither, the result shows as not stated.

How do you report a mistake on Tucson Senior Advisor?

Email advisors@tucsonsenioradvisor.com with the page and the problem; an editor checks it against the primary source and fixes the page, and data pages are rebuilt each time the ADHS and CMS rosters are pulled again.

How current is the facility information?

Each page shows its data date. The current AZ Care Check pull is dated October 30, 2026 and the CMS data October 1, 2026; licenses, inspections and ratings change between pulls, so confirm a facility's live record before signing anything.

Can a partner community change what Tucson Senior Advisor publishes?

No. Partners pay placement fees, but they cannot edit facility records, inspection results, CMS ratings or guide text, and non-partners appear in the directory with exactly the same columns.

If a partner's record shows deficiencies or an enforcement action, that record appears on its page exactly as it does for any other facility.
